Special Needs Program

We have just placed our first special needs puppy. Kathleen Daffron runs the Daffron Daycare on Fort Leonard Wood. She also is an Exceptional Family Member respite care provider. She is going to train "Zeus" as an seizure response dog, child shepherding, peanut detection, and in wheel chair lead. Check back for updates on training and progression.

My wife and I have decided to address an issue we have ran into several times since we started breeding man's best friend. Some of the people who need a dog the most are not able to pay for a quality dog due to circumstances. Those individuals requiring service dogs or therapy dogs often do not have the ability to work full time or are weighed down by doctors bills. We have decided that we will take half off the price or may donate (in exceptional cases) for individuals who qualify for our Special Needs Program. The intent of this program is to ensure that we put our BEST dogs in the hands of those who are in need for half the price. Every application will be reviewed carefully, and only two per litter will be accepted.

Please read the requirements carefully and submit a complete packet. We will analyze the traits of particular puppies and select up to two per litter for this program depending on the circumstances. We encourage you, if you are interested to submit a completed packet promptly in order to be placed on the waiting list. All litters will not be eligible for this program. Only those litters which meet the traits required will be selected. We reserve the right to choose the litter and the puppy, but as I said before we are doing this to put our BEST German Shepherds in the hands of those in need.
