How do you ship your GSD's? Our puppies are shipped via temperature controlled cargo on Continental airlines. They normally are at their destination a few hours after we ship them, but if there are any delays the airline has a dog run for the puppy to get out of the crate and move around.
Isn't it stressful for puppies to fly on an airplane?
It is a little stressful, but most puppies are fine with it. We give them food and water for the flight.
How do I know I am getting the dog I paid for?
We mark all of our puppies and assign them numbers. They will be marked with a temporary collar and fingernail polish on their nails. We do this to ensure there is no mix up with the puppies.
Do your dogs have Hip and Elbow certifications through OFA?
All of our dogs will be certified by the end of 2009.
Do you accept long term payments or trades?
Not normally, on a case by case basis we will consider it, but as a rule no.
What type of payment do you accept?
Certified Check, Postal Money Order, or Cash.
Do you accept Papal?
We do accept Papal occasionally, but add a 4% processing fee to the total price.
How do I apply for the Special Needs program?
The first thing you should do is call and verify that we have a litter available which have the traits required for a service or therapy dog. If not you will be placed on a waiting list. If you feel like you might be eligible give us a call so that we can verify your eligibility.
Do you offer stud service?
Occasionally we will offer stud service to approved bitches, after Kaos's registration gets back from SV we will stud Kaos to bitches with like pedigree.
Why do you want to know so much personal information....what is so serious about selling me a puppy?
We question potential buyers thoroughly in order to achieve the best match for owner and puppy. We truly care for our dogs and see it as our responsibility to ensure responsible pet ownership and that the puppies and owners traits compliment each other. For the same reason we ask about your living arrangements.
Do you offer trained dogs?
We do offer trained dogs. We have partnered with Mr. Jesse Monroe from K-9 Training Solutions together we can offer a trained GSD in Basic Obedience, Protection, Tracking, and Drug and Explosives Detection at an additional price. We are currently looking for individuals locally to train Service Dogs, Therapy Dogs, and Schultzhund.
Do you sell to Brokers or pet shops?
No, we do not sell to brokers, pet shops, or auctions. We have one on one contact with everyone we sell a puppy to.
Do you stay in contact with us after we buy a puppy?
Yes, we will call every week or two for the first few months, and every once and a while after that. We do this to ensure that both you and your puppy are happy and satisfied. Also, we encourage you to send us pictures, any questions you may have, and a short note every once in a while to let us know how everything is going.
What do I have to do to reserve a puppy?
To reserve a puppy you send in a signed contract with a non-refundable $200 deposit. All puppies must be paid for in full 2 weeks prior to shipment.
Do you offer any discounts?
We offer a 10% Military Discount, 10% Law Enforcement Discount, 10% Fireman Discount, 10% EMS Discount. We offer a 10% discount if bought by a service/therapy dog trainer if dog is to be used as a therapy/service dog. Only one discount per puppy allowed. We offer a 15% Discount for dogs used as police K-9. Also if you decide to buy more than one puppy we will offer a 10% Discount on the second puppy.
Can we see your puppies / dogs if we live locally?
Absolutely, in fact if you live locally we encourage you to come visit us, as we like to get to know those who buy our puppies. Just call to set up an appointment preferably on the weekend, as Mark is an Active Duty Drill Sergeant in the Army and rarely has time to meet during the week. You can come check out our kennels and we also have a park nearby where we can walk and play with the dogs.
Why is Kaos not AKC Registered?
Kaos is a German Import and currently has his pink papers through the German SV. It is a tedious process to get his registration changed over from SV to AKC. Soon we hope to have his papers back and have him registered.
Do you offer basic obedience, house training, or crate training on the puppies?
Seldom we will agree to house training or crate training a puppy. We will only do this when circumstances prevent you from doing it yourself.
Can you ship me a puppy before 8 weeks?
We will not ship our puppies prior to 8 weeks to ensure they receive all their required shots, worming and weaning is complete.
Do I have to enroll my puppy in obedience training?
No, however we highly encourage you to as it gives you time to bond with your puppy and instills traits which will allow both of you to have a better quality of life together. The most important thing dog training does is train the owner on how to understand your dog's behavior and utilize the puppies’ natural instinct to capitalize on what you want him/ her to do.
